Based in Norfolk, New York, Northern Machining was founded in 1986 by Ted Ashley, and has developed a reputation for being one of New York’s most reliable machine shops. Offering a range of services, including CNC Turning and Milling, Welding and Fabrication, Grinding, Finishing, Inspections, and Contract Manufacturing, Northern Machining supplies parts for the medical, energy, and aerospace industries.

As a supplier of complex parts for medical devices and aerospace projects, Northern Machining are proud of their high standards and emphasise the importance of accuracy and precision in their work. Prior to using AMFG, Northern Machining used a well known competitor to automate their quoting and estimating, but were unhappy with the level of accuracy they were receiving.

AMFG provided Northern Machining with our customised quoting and estimating software, based on their shops costing logic. This enables their production manager, Chad Ashely, to complete estimates on parts in 90 seconds, and finish quotes in minutes instead of hours, while maintaining high levels of accuracy. AMFG also implemented an instant quoting portal onto Northern Machining’s website, allowing customers to upload a CAD file and receive an automated quote immediately.
