Established in 2017, American Additive is a US-based company specializing in providing World-Class 3D Printing & Engineering Services. American Additive serves customers across various industries —  from the aerospace and automotive sectors to robotics and medical organizations. The Challenge: Updating Manual Documentation Systems

As such, tracking the progress of builds is critical for compliance. Maintaining such high quality across industries with demanding standards is a significant challenge, especially when done manually - relying on a skilled and experienced workforce. Matthew outlined how these issues were limiting company growth, “the biggest challenges were a) ensuring that the documents stay with parts consistently, b) making sure those documents were filled out every step of our process and c) trying to scale with those manual processes.” Matthew went on to point out that addressing their documentation system was key not only for ensuring compliance but also scalability. “Because everything is physical, eventually, you reach your limits in terms of scaling. Ensuring employees complete required documentation as they complete a task can be difficult when production is busy. It’s natural to lean towards completing more production tasks vs completing documentation. However, If the process gets completed and the document doesn't get filled out, how do you go back and say who did it and when?”
