How American Additive is Supporting its Growth with AMFG

London, June 2024: AMFG is thrilled to announce its partnership with American Additive. Using AMFG’s award-winning MES software and end-to-end traceability of production processes, American Additive will optimize its project management capabilities and streamline operations. Established in 2017, American Additive is a US-based company specialising in using additive manufacturing to produce a range of products including parts, prototypes, casting patterns and manufacturing tools and aids. The company has experienced significant growth in recent years, expanding the scope of its operations to scale with the evolving needs of its client base. American Additive serves customers across various industries — from the aerospace and automotive sectors to robotics and medical organizations. At the heart of the company is a mission to provide high-quality service. As such, American Additive is certified for ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, ITAR, CMMC II, and Industry-Specific Standards. Given these requirements, tracking production processes with diligent documentation is a necessity for the company. However, Matthew White outlined that American Additive’s manual documentation processes were causing challenges, “The bigger challenges were a) ensuring that the documents stay with parts consistently b) making sure those documents were filled out every step of our process c) trying to scale with those manual processes.” To address this, American Additive sought a software solution to solve the limitations of these processes and update its system. Using AMFG enables this documentation to be generated automatically, streamlining operations and saving time for staff.Matthew explains that this time can be spent focused on winning new business or developing internal projects. “We can work on a lot more engineering projects and offer our design and engineering time to our customers because that time is now available.”As well as project management, implementing AMFG has allowed American Additive to take advantage of the software’s other functionalities including quoting, account management and machine integration. Commenting on the partnership, Matthew White from American Additive said, “As we get bigger and bigger, it’s a lot easier to communicate what jobs are in the shop, who’s responsible for what, and where jobs are with this sort of platform. We foresee that AMFG will be an asset for supporting our growth and we look forward to implementing more AMFG functionalities in the future.”AMFG implementation consultant Lorenzo Civaia added, “We’re delighted to see the successful onboarding of American Additive onto AMFG’s automation software. We are thrilled that our project management functionality has allowed American Additive to automate its documentation processes and optimize its production processes. AMFG is looking forward to American Additive’s continued development using AMFG.”
